      The Management Information Services (MIS) Department works to provide application development and support solutions. It is responsible for offering information technology and communications services to the city of Spokane. The department also works to provide document management, geographic information and information technology acquisition assistance solutions. The Management Information Services (MIS) Department supports more than 2,200 employees in over 60 locations, and maintains nearly 85 servers and approximately 1,500 workstations and phones. Its mail division processes more than 2 million mails annually. The department s helpdesk handles over 1,000 calls monthly. The Management Information Services (MIS) Department is governed by the city of Spokane.
