General Info

The Housing and Community Services Agency of Lane County, commonly known as HACSA, is the public housing authority for Lane County and the cities of Eugene and Springfield in Oregon. It provides affordable, safe and sanitary housing options to low- and moderate-income families and households. The authority administers a rental assistance program that provides individuals and families with vouchers that are used to find rental units. HACSA also owns more than 700 public housing units and over 400 project-based subsidy and tax credit units. Its development division builds new properties or purchases existing rental properties. The authority also works with homeowners and renters to assess their homes in order to provide weatherization services to save energy and reduce utility costs. It operates the Family Self-Sufficiency program, which helps families improve their economic conditions. The Housing and Community Services Agency of Lane County has offices in Eugene and Springfield, Ore.
