Hunt Valley Elementary School is an educational institution that enrolls students in kindergarten through grade six. Established in 1969, it offers classes in reading, writing, English, math, science, social studies and health education. The institution enrolls more than 650 children and maintains a parent teacher association. Located in Springfield, Va., Hunt Valley Elementary School employs a staff of over 75 teachers and paraprofessionals who offer instruction in music, band, and arts and crafts. It also operates a media center that organizes book fairs and celebrates the library week. In addition, the institution features online photo galleries and conducts special education classes. Hunt Valley Elementary School is a part of Fairfax County School Board, which operates several elementary, middle and high level educational institutions.
