Grant Elementary School offers a curriculum that focuses on thinking skills, oral and written communication, global awareness and technology. Its curriculum includes math, science and social studies. Additionally, the elementary school offers classes in dance, drama, music and visual arts. Grant Elementary School is a part of Tacoma Public Schools, which operates more than 30 elementary schools, over 10 middle schools, nearly five high schools and several alternative learning sites. Tacoma Public Schools campuses have libraries that provide access to books and periodicals for direct classroom instruction, as well as professional staff development.
