- Ear InfectionsI have a six-year-old boy. Dr. Fan treated him for ear infections and fluid in his ears. She didn’t use any needles on him. She only used Chinese Pediatric Massage, which is called “Tuina”. It worked very well for him. He is a healthy boy now.
- Sleep DisordersDr. Yali Fan is a miracle worker. I went to see her for general pain, stress and sleep disorder. After only a few visits, I felt like a different person. I love the Adrenal support she prescribed for me. It gave me great energy. I was skeptical but now I’m convinced! I highly recommend Dr. Fan!
- Family PracticeAcupuncture doctors are medical doctors who are licensed and trained in traditional medicine but also have had thorough training in acupuncture as a specialty practice. Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to naturally heal and improve its functioning, by inserting solid, metallic, hair-thin needles into specific points on the body and applying heat or electrical stimulation to very precise acupuncture points. Acupuncture produces an improved energy and biochemical balance which results in stimulating the body’s natural healing power and promotes physical and emotional well-being. Acupuncture is explained using the idea that channels of energy, known as Qi, run in regular patterns through the all parts of the body. Known as meridians, theses channels are like rivers flowing energy through the body. An obstruction in the energy flow blocks the flow of energy and affects the body in different ways. Acupuncture doctors influence the meridians by needling specific acupuncture points on the skin, which in turn unblock the obstructions allowing regular flow of energy through the body. Acupuncture treatments are known to help the body to reestablish the proper functions of digestion, absorption, energy production, and energy circulations. Because acupuncture doctors are trained in both contemporary and alternative medical methods, they can use a combination of treatments to treat an illness.Acupuncture doctors use acupuncture as a treatment to promote patient health and well-being, prevent illness, and to treat various medical conditions. Although acupuncture is often associated with pain control, it has a much broader application when administered through the hands of a well trained acupuncturist. Acupuncture is known to be effective as its own treatment, as well as combined with other forms of medical treatment when dealing with both medical and surgical disorders. The use of acupuncture is used in the treatment of a wide variety of medical problems including digestive, respiratory, neurological, muscular, urinary, menstrual, and reproductive disorders. While acupuncture is useful to treat all these medical problems, it is particularly useful for resolving physical conditions associated with tension, stress, and emotional conditions. The most common ailments that are treated by acupuncture are lower backache, cervical spondylosis, condylitis, arthritic conditions, all kinds of headaches, allergic reactions, and relief of muscle spasms.Acupuncture doctors use very thin, stainless steel needles to provide acupuncture treatment to patients. There are nine types of acupuncture needles, only six of which are commonly used today. While people experience acupuncture needling very differently, most patients feel only minimal pain when the needles are inserted, while some feel no pain at all. Because acupuncture needles have a smooth point, unlike hypodermic needles with a cutting edge point, insertion into the skin is not as painful as injections
- Emergency CareDr Fan Yali has done a wonderful job helping me; approx. three weeks ago, after a leisurely bike ride, I completely blacked out. When I woke up; I was unable to move the fingers on both of my hands and thought that I had had a stroke. After a trip to the emergency room, several tests, and the neurologist informing me that he had no idea the issue as all my results including a MRI and EKG show my health to be that of a teenager not a 40 year old; I decided to check into acupuncture. I had two more black outs before my appt with her and now I have had approx. two weeks of treatments and even though I know we still have a long way to go to return my body to balance I feel great. I have had no more black outs and continue to have more energy and focus than I have had in years.

- Infectious DiseasesIs it easy to learn and practice Qigong? Qigong is very easy to learn. Of course, some forms are easier while others are more complex. Some Qigong forms are more beneficial for older people to practice while others are more widely used by younger people. One doesn’t need to become a Qigong master to experience many of its healing effects. For health purposes, you may learn only a few exercises. From practice, you should at least achieve a state of mind tranquility, find release from tension, build a positive attitude, and develop strong, committed will power. You can get benefits in one of three ways. First, you can go to a Qigong master for treatment by that master's external Qi. Second, you can get treatment from a Qigong master and practice Qigong exercises. Third, supervised by a Qigong master, you can learn and practice Qigong exercises to improve your health condition. To gain full benefits of qigong requires time, patience, commitment to its practice, determination, and persistence. This art involves more than simple physical training. It requires educating one's breathing and thought processes. This means increasing one's ability to sense one's body, and to feel and imagine. As with any other aspect of human endeavor, some people will prove more adept at the art than others, and so will progress more quickly. However, anyone with enough motivation can learn adequate qigong skills to make a large impact upon one's quality of life. You will get benefits as long as you keep practicing. It can take from a minimum of three months up to a year to feel the effects. There are no shortcuts. There are also no obvious limits to how far one may progress. <span class="bold>Is there any precautions for Qigong practice? The place to practice Qigong should be quiet and peaceful, with proper light, fresh air, attractive scenery, and without noises or irritating odors. Outdoor-practice should be avoided during windy or rainy weather.<br /><br /> Do not too hungry or too full when practicing Qigong. Use a restroom before practice. The clothes should be loose fitingt. The shoes should be comfortable exercise shoes. Avoid sexual intercourse for at least one hour before and after a qigong session. Because qigong thins blood and increases circulation, women should not practice during menstruation unless guided by a Chinese medical doctor who is also a Qigong master for treating certain kinds of menstrual problems. If you have internal bleeding or bleeding after tooth extraction or trauma, avoid qigong exercises until the condition disappears. Consult your Qigong doctor if you feel dizzy after Qigong practice. Qigong is not for severely disturbed mental patients, pregnant women or people suffering from acute infectious diseases. People often want to try Qigong as quickly as possible to emit external Qi like a qigong master through the eyes, fingertips or palms. This can be dangerous. One should not attempt it, except after long years of practice, and only then

- Labor and DeliveryAdd successful induction to the list of things Dr Fan has helped me with! I went for an induction session with Dr Fan and delivered my first child (on his due date, without hospital induction) 2 days later. My labor was a breeze and I attribute it to Dr Fan’s help preparing my body for labor and delivery. I’m currently 6 weeks postpartum and am going back for healing sessions and look (lost all but 8lbs of the 40 I gained) and feel incredible. My entire pregnancy was a joy. Literally no pain or discomfort until active labor contractions started. Thank you, Dr Fan, for helping to make my dream of being a happy, healthy mom come true!!
- Kidney StonesDiseases caused by acidity can be categorized into 4 main types. #1: Body acid combined with certain minerals in the body, i.e. calcium, can cause osteoporosis (brittle bone syndrome). #2: Body acid stays in the joints causing inflammation, arteriosclerosis, kidney stones, arthritis, and gout. #3: Body waste that is acidic accumulates and blocks the capillaries causing poor circulation, diabetes, nephritis, and numerous cancers. #4: Excessive acidity in the gastrointestinal tract can cause constipation, chronic diarrhea, acidic urine, heartburn, acid reflux, and gastro (duodenum) ulcers. And also, acidity in the body constitution will lower the brain functions in developing children.
- Urinary Tract InfectionImpotence, Prostatitis, Urinary Tract Infection, Sterility and Infertility. PMS, Menstrual Cramps, Menopause Syndrome, and Yeast Infections.
- Prostate CancerIt has been a roller coaster ride the past two years since I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and its corresponding bone metastasis. During this time my body was starting to get tired from fighting the disease and the toxic medications. I was weak with no energy and the majority of the bones hurt. No matter what position I was in, sleeping, sitting or walking the pain was always there. Especially in the knees, where I had difficulty in standing and walking.
- Multiple SclerosisStatic Qigong, which has characteristics of meditation and breathing exercises and without movements. The breathing exercises help the state of meditation, and vice versa. One is aware of what is going on, but not too aware, fully relaxed but not in a trance. In a qigong state, cares and troubles wash away. Replacing them are positive images, increased confidence, and enhanced spirit. Eventually, there will be no distractions, depressing thoughts or worries. Through meditation one gains feelings of happiness. This in turn stimulates circulation of blood and Qi, or life force. If one is ill, over time the body's functions are thus able to return to normal. If one is not ill, the existing sense of wellness and well-being increases. People of all ages can learn to practice Qigong, and so develop and maintain internal vigor and good health. Qigong therapy is very popular in Chinese hospitals. Qigong doctors are special trained Chinese medical doctors, who generally have practiced Qigong for many years. They treat patients by projecting their own energy to heal patients. Medical Qigong is not only for treating and curing an existing illness but also preventing the onset of disease. A lot of people like to practice Qigong because they feel better and perform better after practice. They experience higher levels of energy and stamina. Qigong is good for longevity by slowing down the ageing process. Qigong is least effective against acute illness or medical emergencies. It is more effective for treating chronic conditions or disabilities. It is even better for preventing disease. The Chinese have found qigong an effective way to treat substance abuse and obesity. This gentle art improves delivery of oxygen to the body's cells, reduces stress, and improves bowel functioning. Chinese doctors have applied qigong in hospitals and clinics to treat individuals suffering from a variety of ailments. These include allergies, arthritis, asthma, bowel problems, constipation, diabetes, gastritis, gout, headaches, heart disease, and hypertension. Qigong is also very effective for treating dysmenorrhea, PMS, irregular menstruation, menopause, and many other gynecological conditions. The list goes on: chronic kidney disease, liver disease, lower back, and many different kinds of pain, meniere's disease, myopia, obesity, neurasthenia, paralysis induced by external injury, retinopathy (deterioration of the back of the eye), rheumatism, sciatic neuralgia, sleeplessness, stress, ulcers, and peripheral vascular disease. Qigong can successfully treat cancer and reduce or eliminate side effects from radiation and chemotherapy. It is helpful in treating aphasia (loss or impairment of ability to speak), cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and post-stroke syndrome. It is especially useful in treating any kind of chronic pain, and chronic disorders of the digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems. Qigong can help one fight virtually any disea
- EpilepsyMy daughter started seeing Dr. Fan in April 2015. She was diagnosed in September 2014 with epilepsy (Absences Seizures to be exact). She was put on medicine right away. It was not controlling the seizures so we upped her dose. We continuously upped her medicine until we got her to the max dose. We got an EEG in Match that showed she still had 30 seizures in 15 hours on the max dose of medicine. Our next step was to give her additional medicine. Given that she is only 4 years old, my husband and I did not want to give her any more medicine then she was already on. We started seeing Dr. Fan and she used acupressure to treat my daughter’s epilepsy. She knew that she was too young for needles and used a massage method to treat her pressure points. Every time she treated my daughter she was very patient and nurturing. She truly cared for her health. In June we had a 48 hour EEG that showed my daughter had zero seizures. Acupuncture with Dr. Fan cured my daughter. We are eternally grateful! We still take medication, and we will see Dr. Fan continuously to keep my daughter in the best health, but we are so excited to have a clear EEG! Thank you Dr. Fan!!!!
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Chinese pediatric massage therapy has been used in China over two thousand years according to book record. It is an ideal alternative therapy to medications and is widely used. There are pediatric massage departments in most major Chinese medical hospitals in China today. There are no drugs and no injections are needed for many kinds of illness. Almost all common childhood ailments, including internal disorders, trauma, and diseases of the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, can be treated effectively with pediatric Tuina. Chinese pediatric massage particularly and effectively treats pediatric digestive and respiratory disorders such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, lack of appetite, constipation, common cold, fever, sinusitis, ear infection, cough, asthma, and many other childhood ailments. Other disorders such as hyperactivity, ADD, ADHD, night crying, bed wetting and seizure disorders can all get very good results. Some times the effects of the treatment can be considered a small miracle. Most people cannot imagine how good the results are before they really try it. For some diseases, Tuina can be the chief therapy, while for other diseases Tuina can be the auxiliary therapy.

- HypothyroidismI had been diagnosed with hypothyroidism about two years ago. Also, as far back as I can remember I have had severe problems with my menstrual cycle. When I first came to see Dr. Fan on recommendations of a good friend of mine, I was feeling very drained out with very low energy and insomnia. All the conventional medications had done me no good. Moreover, I had heard horror stories about the side effects of medications traditionally prescribed for conditions such as hypothyroidism.

- Computed TomographyHear ye, hear ye! I’m only going to say this once. Dr. Yali Fan, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM), is a genuine healer and I mean that in all of its subtle permutations. She not only has the education, knowledge and necessary skills, based on thirty years of practice diagnosing and treating a myriad of maladies, she also radiates a calming presence, which I believe aids critically in the healing process. In fact, based on my personal experience, she can treat countless disorders not just those that are sanctioned by the National Institute of Health (NIH). NIH limits their endorsement of acupuncture to chronic pain. But, since NIH is primarily made up of mainstream medical doctors, maybe they have a vested interest in disparaging “alternative” therapies. I first went to Dr. Fan in the spring of 2014 out of desperation for unrelenting, troublesome constipation that was caused by lumbar surgery in 1983. That’s thirty-one years of misery for which I consulted multiple mainstream medical doctors with multiple medical specialties, including a shrink. After thirty-one years with numerous MRIs, CT scans, scopes inserted in both ends and delicious barium swallows
- ChemotherapyAs a patient of yours for the past two months, I would like to thank you for helping me with the pain I have been experiencing since chemotherapy treatment for Breast Cancer left me with Fibromyalgia. I had been to numerous medical doctors for this pain, including a Rheumatologist; and, in spite of daily prescription drugs and many rounds of physical therapy, I was in constant pain all over my body, particularly in my neck, shoulders and back. Just moving from a sitting or lying position to standing position was very painful. I also was experiencing additional excruciating pain in several points of my body and horrendous sleep difficulty which, I was told, was typical with Fibromyalgia. I had not had a night’s sleep, unless drugged, in over two years!
- SciaticaMy husband had severe sciatica in his right leg. He couldn’t sleep and He had difficulty to get into bed. Dr. Fan did miracle work. Soon after Two acupuncture treatments, my husband had pain relief. We are very impressed! We were treated by different acupuncturists in the past. Dr. Fan is the best! She is definitely outstanding in her field. We can’t express how much appreciation to her!

- UlcerAs early as 3000 years ago, diet therapy was used in China for treating diseases. In ancient China, diet therapy was more favorable in the imperial families. It is the sign of their luxury life. As a portion of Traditional Chinese Medicine, diet therapy is very popular not only for treating disease but also for health maintenance in China today. People are aware of what they eat and what is good for their health. There are numerous high-grade restaurants serving medicinal meals in China. Chinese medicinal meals are food cooked with Chinese eatable herbs. It is a good way to take herbal medicine with the favorite flavors.Food can be considered the medicinal herbs that we take three times a day. Being aware of what we eat can help to maintain internal balance and prevent disease on a daily basis. Dietary therapy provides a powerful tool for correcting disharmonies and is used in conjunction with acupuncture, herbal therapy, Tuina massage, and Qigong to restore balance to the Essential Substances, Organ Systems, and channels. Generally, diet therapy can help sedate excess, tonify deficiencies, cool off heat problems, warm up cold problems, moisten dry problems, and dry up excess dampness. Symptoms describe what you feel when you are not well. Signs are the manifestations of disharmony that guide Chinese medicine practitioners when identifying and diagnosing particular imbalances. Chinese Diet Therapy follows the same principles and theories of Traditional Chinese medicine.Watching your diet and eating medicinal meals is good for every body and all kinds of health conditions. For certain conditions, diets are as important as medicine. For example, diabetes, obesity, nephritis, hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic hepatitis, gastritis, peptic ulcer, gall bladder problems, diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids, prostate disease, and allergy related problems.
- EczemaI suffer from a rare skin disorder and got tired of what seemed to be useless trips to my dermatologist. After much research I made the decision to try alternative medicine, namely accupuncture. I can honestly say that Dr. Fan does an awesome job. She makes me feel completely comfortable during my visits and she takes her time. She has done wonders for me in the 2 – 3 months that I’ve been her patient. I would honestly advise anyone to go see her if they’re having issues. I have found myself telling my friends on numerous occasions, “I don’t know what she’s doing exactly but I’m so glad for it!” ACCUPUNCTURE WORKS. It may take time but it works. This is after five plus years of seeing multiple dermatologists.

- Physical TherapyI have herniated discs in L5 and S1 causing a sciatic nerve pain down my left leg. I received (2) steroid treatments and physical therapy and it wasn’t relieving the pain and my doctor suggested surgery. Matter of fact, the PT put me on crutches thinking it would take the pressure off my back but it caused atrophy in my left calf muscle. A friend of mine suggested acupuncture and I was very fortunate to find Dr. Yali Fan. Literally, I could not lay on my stomach because of my lower back pain. But after 3 treatments, I was able to lay on my stomach with no pain. I saw her 3 times a week and now it’s once a week as herniated disc takes time to heal. I strongly recommend Dr. Fan. She is so easy to talk to, expert in her field, and very gentle with her treatment.

- Plantar FasciitisI am writing to thank you for everything you have done for me. When I first came to you, I had persistent sciatica with plantar fasciitis in the same leg...one of which called for rest and the other for exercises. This was truly a “lose-lose” situation for me, and had me in constant pain from either my back or my foot. After only 5 acupuncture treatments, I was totally pain-free with a spring in my step! I had followed the advice of traditional western doctors for months with no relief, and you fixed it all in under 10 days! If it hadn’t happened to me, I’m not sure I would have believed this was possible. After a few more general acupuncture sessions, people started commenting on how good I look and the glow I seem to have...and ever woman loves to hear that.
- Podiatric SurgeryI find myself now going to her again for treatment for menopause. I also recently had foot surgery and I’m experiencing quite a it of numbness and other irritating sensations. Again, she is helping me thru this difficult time. She is an exceptional human being who truly listens and cares. From the moment you meet her you sense this. Her warm smile and laugh lets you know it’s going to be ok! She surely knows how to treat the whole body. There is no other medical professional I’ve ever come across that is as genuinely this caring!
