- Employment DiscriminationThe law firm of Albrechta & Coble originated from a close friendship and personal relationship between its two partners. John and Joe first met at the Western College of Miami University in 1975. For three years the two aspiring lawyers developed a friendship while pursuing their Bachelor of Philosophy degrees and in the politics of changing university norms. After graduation the future partners each explored various businesses and non-profit organizations including advocacy and social and environmental justice. In 1980, Joe and John coincidentally showed up for night classes at the University of Toledo College of Law. The duo spent the next 3 1/2 years completing the law school course of study leading to obtaining their law licenses in 1984. Both pursued different paths for a number of years, but stayed in regular contact as both friends and colleagues. Their professional paths again crossed when they were both hired at the same law firm in Toledo. At the end of that shared employment, they each again took a different path that ultimately led to the formation of Albrechta & Coble on February 2, 1996, in Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio. At that time, the partnership was dedicated to civil litigation in personal injury, medical malpractice, civil rights, and employment discrimination.
