I signed up for a 6 month package to receive special pricing and City Tan would automatically pull from my bank account. I assumed the automatic withdrawals would stop after 6 months, but, City Tan continued to withdrawal from my account. I was just told by City Tan I have to come in and cancel my account even though it was for only 6 months! I do not recall them explaining this but I'm sure it's in the very fine print. The place usees poor business practice, BIG RIP OFF.

I am writing this review in response the review written in may. I do not know the girl who wrote that review personally but I was in the store when the incident occurred. Her story couldn't be further from the truth. She was actually the one bad mouthing their protein and causing the scene. The staff did they're best to accommodate her but she just didn't seem to be satisfied by anything. As for her comment about the protein they use in the smoothies, I personally know it is a good quality protein made by Dymatize one of the biggest brand names in nutrition. I'm also not sure exactly what shake she buy's for $6 but mine is only $3.95 and they are some of the best protein shakes I have ever had. They also use real fruit in the shakes. CityTan is a fantastic store. The tanning beds are the best in Toledo, the nutrition selection is great, the smoothies are delicious, the store is clean and the staff is terrific. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I am writing this review in response to the review that was posted in May. I was personally at the store when this situation occurred and I have to say that her review is far from the truth. The customer was the one actually bad mouthing the protein. The staff tried to help clear up her confusion but she didn't want to hear it. I was also in the store when the owner called her and tried to figure out what had happened. He was nothing but nice to her on the phone. The owner and the staff have been nothing but wonderful and guessing by how busy they are I would guess that most people feel the same. She also made comments about there shakes being expensive and using yogurt instead of protein. Well, I know they use a high quality protein made by Dymatize and I have personally never paid more then $3.95 for a shake before. CityTan is by far the cleanest salon I've been to and the staff is fantastic. Bottom line: I would recommend this salon to anyone.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. For $5-$6 a shake you do not even receive a quality protein. When I mentioned the desire to receive a better quality for the price to an employee I received a rude voicemail from the owner (whom I did not give my phone number to or ask for a call from) insulting me and insinuating that I was wrong about what I had requested. Upon calling back I was told what I did which was far from the actual situation and then told that he hadn't even reviewed the tapes and was going strictly off of hear-say from his bimbo employees who know NOTHING of nutrition. I was then flat out insulted and told I was arrogant by the owner over the phone simply because I stated that for a $6 shake I expect a protein that I will absorb more than 70% of, and something higher quality than the powdered yogurt they choose to use. I would suggest never shopping here and saving your money and receiving better quality products by simply making your own shakes at home for a cheaper price.
