Love that the school is peanut free and that the class size is less then 15 students, with two teachers per class. My next child will be going here, no question.

Words cannot describe how wonderful and dedicated the staff is at Chestnut Hill. Their creativity amazes me each and every day. They make every attempt to make each child feel special. The curriculum challenges the children but they are having too much fun to notice that they are actually learning. I highly recommend Chestnut Hill Nursery School.

Choosing a school for your baby is a tough decision. It is not a decision I took lightly, knowing this would be my child's first experience in school. After countless visits to nearby preschools, I chose Chestnut Hill. Love, love, love it! My daughter looks forward to going to school and comes home telling me all that she has learned. I truly feel at home there, the teachers and staff are excellent and I am so happy with my decision! I would highly recommend Chestnut Hill. My daughter has learned so much and is absolutely ready for kindergarten. Thank you Chestnut Hill!

We have sent all three of our children to Chestnut Hill, so we have been apart of the chestnut family for over 7 years. Over the years the school has exceeded our expectations of what a preschool should offer a young child. The entire staff is so warm and welcoming. They take the time to get to know each child and are very family oriented. The school also offers a fun learning environment where the children develop the skills they need for Kindergarten. I can't say enough good things about this school. You will not be disappointed if you decide to send your child to Chestnut Hill. :)

We love Chestnut Hill! My daughter had an outstanding experience and I can't say enough about how wonderful her teachers were. She is more than prepared for kindergarten and will look back on her preschool years as a great experience. I highly recommend the program to anyone who is looking for a good preschool. Can't have enough good words to tell you about Chestnut Hill Nursery School... Teachers are great , and take the time out for knowing every child. Being this is the first year of having my child start out in going to school, I couldnt have picked a better place. The anixety of leaving your child as a mother/father, they make it comforting in knowing your child is in a safe environment with teacher/ staff who will work with child. I highly recommended this wonderful staff to anyone..

I can't say enough good things about CHN! My oldest daughter attended several years ago and now my younger son is about to finish his last year. They say you know when you visit a school if it's the right fit for you and your child and that's the feeling I got when I went to my first open house. Such a wonderful staff...loved each and every teacher that my daughter and son had. I noticed tremendous growth in both kids during their years at CHN and I credit the school's "curriculum" (if you want to call it that...they're 3 & 4 yrs old! More like a well-balanced experience of socialization and learning in a fun atmosphere). One important thing to note is I always felt like I could trust the staff to keep me informed of where each of my kids were at developmentally - if one of them was not quite up to speed in a certain area or maybe acting up in class, they were on top of it and always positive. Smaller class size allows for individualized attention and a more intimate setting.

Our son, who just turned 5 years old, loves going to Chestnut Hill Nursery School. The school does an amazing job with incorporating teaching, play and socialization into their school day. The staff is so kind and helpful. Our son has problems with staying focused at times, but his teachers worked together with us on developing strategies that would help him keep focused, and he is doing great! The staff are very loving, kind, trustworthy and knowledgeable. The class sizes are a nice size so that the children get individualized attention. It is a great choice as a nice stepping stone before your kids go to Kindergarten.

Both of my children attended CHNS and both of them loved it. With my first child I was apprehensive about leaving her with just anyone, but I was very much at ease the very first day meeting the director, Mrs. Newsome. All of the teachers and secretary know and greet us each day with a smile. I love the fact that it is a very clean school and the class sizes are small. In my experience there have been 8-12 kids in each class and there is a teacher and an assistant in each room. My kids absolutely love going there each and every day. I was fortunate that this school offers an excellent program for children who are not ready to enter kindergarten at the age of 5. In that program they review what was already taught with the basic 4 year olds but adds a math and a science day. They also have the opportunity to take class trips to various locations to further enhance their learning experience. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a pre-school.

I have four children and my younger two were fortunate enough to attend Chestnut Hill Nursery School. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. The staff at CHN became like our extended family.CHN offers a perfect balance of socialization and academics in a loving and nurturing environment. My child's kindergarten teacher once told me that she "can always spot the students who've attended CHN"...she said "they are always the best prepared for kindergarten".My children adored their teachers and the school's director who would, without fail greet us at the door with smiles and hugs. My only regret is that my older two children did not attend CHN! There's no better choice in Ocean County!

My 3 year old is having the time of her life. She loves to go to school! Wish we had found this school for our older daughter who attended a much larger nursery school in lakewood. This little school is by far a more loving, friendly, happy and secure environment. We will definately be attending again next year. Mrs. Mullins and Mrs. Carey are fantastic! Mrs. Newsome makes you feel like your at home when thoes doors open at 9:00 AM I feel very relaxed leaving my daughter with the staff at Chestnut Hill!!

By far, this is the best nursery school your children can attend in the Toms River area. My daughter attended their very comprehensive 5 day program last year and now my son attends their 3 day program. I look forward to my son attending next year and this year just started! The staff are the most loving, caring, skilled, and professional people to whom you can entrust your children. My children attended two other local nursery schools (including one for two years) and this school is so much better it doesn't even compare.After looking at other schools (and attending two others), I wish we knew of this school from the beginning. There is not one negative I can write about Chestnut Hill and trust me, I have plenty to say about the two other schools we attended. Best of luck always to Chestnut Hill and thank you for taking such good care of my children while teaching them so much!

I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to send all 3 of my boys - now ages 5,7, and 9 to Chestnut Hill. This school has provided all 3 with with a warm, clean, and safe envrinment for them to learn in. It is easy to get to and it's cost is very competitve. Most importantly, the teachers are exceptional. The children learn counting, abc's, colors, etc. in a controlled but fun environment. My children are very different. My oldest is extremely intelligent & outgoing, my middle boy - very shy, and my youngest..a premie. They get to know each child and figure out what works for EACH of them - individually and as a group. I could give many examples, but one of many that has proven to be extremely valuable? Without the assistance of my youngest son's teacher, who recognized his speech and communication problems, he could have missed the opportunity to get the additional speech therapy that he badly needed. The teachers go above and beyond. It was a blessing to have them go there.

The second my daughters and I walked through the door at Chestnut Hill we knew it was the perfect fit. We were greeted by wonderful people and welcomed by the warmest faculty. My girls look foward to each day at school. They offer the perfect balance of education and fun for every student. I am comforted every day knowing that my children are in a warm, loving environment and receiving the best preschool education offered in the area. We TRULY love this school and recommend anyone with preschool age children to check them out. You will not be disappointed. They are one of a kind with a truly wonderful staff.

Looking for the perfect school for my children, I found it here at Chestnut Hill. They provide the perfect balance between playtime and academic time. My daughter loves her teachers and I can't say enough about them all. Chestnut Hill has everything my husband and I looked for in a preschool, safety, an experienced and nurturing staff all within a truly loving environment. Love this nursery school so much, would never even consider another for my children!!! The classrooms are warm and full of plenty of stuff for the kids to do. The teachers are wonderful, caring individuals. I started my older daughter at another nursery 9 years ago, she cried for me so much that they asked us to take her out of the school. I was very upset, and took her to Chestnut Hill the very next week, where the difference was amazing!! The teachers dealt sooo kindly but firmly with my daughter, and although she still cried for a few minutes at the beginning of class for a few weeks, she responded wonderfully to the caring attitude of the staff. I have now sent all 3 of my children there, and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you have any separation anxiety issues.

Chestnut Hill is a wonderful school. The staff at Chestnut Hill offers a safe, nurturing and warm environment where the children thrive. I've sent both of my children here and can truly say I couldn't be more pleased. The director, teachers and office staff greet the children by name each morning. They are very family oriented and interact in a positive manor with the children. The school offers a fun learning environment where the children develop the skills they need for Kindergarten.As well as the school being a peanut free school, they are very aware about other food allergies. They work with parents to provide an allergen free environment for the children. I highly recommend Chestnut Hill Nursery School.

Chestnut Hill is by far the best nursery school in Toms River! Everyone in the school makes you feel so welcome. You will get such a warm feeling the minute you walk into the school. I think what separates Chestnut Hill from other nursery schools is they way they include and involve the families in your child's preschool experience. You are welcome to attend all parties. Parents are also welcome to watch their children through the double sided glass ANYTIME they want. By far the most important thing to my family is that Chestnut Hill is a peanut free school. We have a son w/ a peanut allergy and it so comforting to us knowing that he is safe while at school. The teachers and director take this matter very seriously, they are very aware and educated on the allergy. I can't say enough good things about this school. We have been apart of the Chestunut Hill family for over 3years now and could not be happier.

I have always heard amazing stories from friends about how great Chestnut Hill Nursery School is. I finally brought my 3rd child here and within 1 week saw the amazing difference. The place is so nice and clean, well lit and decorated, you dont feel like your in a church dungeon. The teachers are all so sweet and nice, and they all know every child by name. They are so much more academically structured. I love how my child is always so excited to go back to school, and how he comes home so excited about the things they did and learned. I also love how they get the parents involved in their teachings also. This is also a peanut free school... great for those with peanut allergies. This school is rated so high on my list that I am sorry I didn't start coming here with my first child.
