During the length of my cat’s journey from sickness to death, Dr. Farnsworth displayed no compassion or support for my cat or myself. I began to get worried about my cat when he stopped eating and seemed wobbly when walking. I was in a high state of concern and panic for him, and took him to the closest vet I could find that could see us right away. This was, regrettably, Dr. Farnsworth. Upon seeing my cat for the first time, she just jumped into asking questions and examining him. She did not show any interest in him or seem to hold that innate interest and love of animals that our past vets had displayed. No, I didn’t expect her to coo over him for 20 minutes, but I would have liked to see her pet him or show some interest in him.

After several hundred of dollars, several of visits and inconclusive test results, she referred us to ACCES, for further diagnostic testing. Upon leaving on that final visit, she told me “You have a very, very sick cat”. All that money and time invested in her practice and this was the only fact she could tell me. I did not appreciate it, and felt as if it was meant to scare me further, and drag me further into a state of panic. What good did she accomplish by telling me this? I could see my cat was sick with my own two eyes.

On our last conversation when I was following up with her about when blood work would be coming back, I told her I was worried about my cat, and she said “Well you should be. Very worried”. Again, unprofessional, unnecessary, and uncaring.

My cat was diagnosed with FIP, and we had to put him to sleep. I received sympathy cards from the professionals at ACCES, and from the vet that came to my home and put him to sleep. But nothing from Dr. Farnsworth. She knew we had to put him down, as she even gave me a reference to call for this service.

You could flip open the phone book and find ANY vet that will hold the same veterinary knowledge as Dr. Farnsworth, and 100% more compassion.

If we get any pets in the future, we will NOT be going back to Dr. Farnsworth.
