Established in 2006, Talecris Plasma Resources is a blood bank. It provides blood plasma to several hospitals and health care centers. Located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the center creates life saving therapies through liquid portion of blood called plasma. The facility offers plasma with proteins, cells and antibodies. It offers treatment for diseases, such as immune deficiencies, malaria and hemophilia, to name a few. Talecris Plasma Resources has a network of 69 plasma collection centers. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Talecris Biotherapeutics Inc.
