General Info
The Greenwood Inn is a family-owned and managed full-service restaurant established in 1954. We've been called a RI Institution, and we're proud and appreciative of that. Our menu is quite varied but we're known for our seafood (baked stuffed shrimp, fried calamari, clams casino and more), our prime rib, veal parmesan, homemade chicken soup, variety of dishes made from the fresh turkeys we roast on premises each day. Our staff and service is exceptional, prices are reasonable, location is conveniently off I-95 (near airport, train station, several nearby hotels), and ambiance is cozy with a large fieldstone fireplace for cooler months and outdoor patio for warmer months. Our private room accommodates up to 52 people (perfect for bridal/baby showers, birthday parties, company meetings and other events). Our bar scene is unlike any other - very friendly and welcoming. Takeout is available, and we have several tv monitors throughout our bar and dining areas. Provided by YP.comDespite reading previous review, (usually by people who have too much time on their hands), I gave the Greenwood Inn a shot...afterall there must be a reason it has been in business for over 55 years!!! Was I glad I did. Moderately priced with a great selection. The food was Great!!!!! We had a turkey club (Real turkey), veal parm and a tasty burger! We will be back again! We are new to the area... no wonder the locals recommended it.

Provided by YP.comLooked great from outside - new building and interior.
Nice menu with moderate prices. Good wine list selections.
The service was very good, the food not so much.
The Italian combo was swimming in tomato sauce, and the green peppers were cooked to death whole.
For some reason the water and tea had a major plastic/chemical taste.
Could be a local thing. Drink options are not listed on the menu.
Most entrees listed french fries instead of choice of potato, and most come with a cup of soup which can be traded in for a dinner salad for $1.50 extra.
