While waiting for a visa in a nearby embassy, we came across the Basil Thai Resaurant. We found the food to be authentic, very tasty, and reasonably priced. Specifically we enjoyed the Tom Kha Goong (a shrimp soup), the Som Tum (green papaya salad), and the Pad Khing Sod (with chicken). These all had many layers of delicate flavors which revealed themselves at each bite. This was true of the of the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango, as well; delicious. The place is small, and the owners are there, giving it a very pleasant, personal touch. We recommend this restaurant highly.
