      Velting Contractors, founded in 1921 and headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., is one of the oldest and one of the largest excavating companies in the state. The company uses the latest technology and equipment in servicing the needs of clients. It uses the Paydirt earthwork-estimating software combined with cost estimating software for the efficient completion of projects through data collection, layout, and providing accurate as-builts for clients, as well as for its own projects. Prominent clients of the company include Amway, City of Grand Rapids, City of Wyoming, Kent County International Airport, Kent County Road Commission, Michigan of Transportation, Steelcase, and Ottawa County.
