Per the wifes suggestion, we stopped by this place in Wayne, New Jersey for late lunch. Upon entering the joint, we encountered a knot of 5 employees who were standing at the reception desk engaged in idle conversation. One of the bunch glanced at us as if being bothered. He mumbled something that sounded that we should follow a young female who was assumed to be a hostess of some sort. She was scurrying in front among the empty tables so fast that it was hard to keep up. The woman then threw two menus down on a table and ordered us to - Sit Here!. The table was right on an aisle next to a work station with dishware stacked up close by. Told the nervous manic acting female that we wanted a better placed table. The big room was almost empty with lots of decent tables. It seemed as if the hostess / waitress was running through the dining room in front of us. Asked the wife - Whats with this broad? What is she running from? Is she on some kind of bummer LSD trip? Also, her voice was very faint with words mostly unintelligable. Once seated at a better table near a dark shuttered window, the waitress person appeared within what seemed like 16 seconds and demanded our order. Told the server female to come back later. She was quickly getting on my nerves. The menu choices were pretty lackluster with routine shopping mall grade quasi-italian dishes
listed with cutsy marketing gimmick titles. Figured that in such an obviously incompetant run mundane franchise eatery, that it would be prudent to choose something very simple. Spotted the Lasagna offering and the wife picked some kind of Alfredo thing. The rapid moving, word blundering, weak voiced waitress woman popped up again and demanded our order. Repeating back our order in a blurred barrage of strung together words, I thought the annoyingly weird waitress said - Spaghetti and Meatballs! Before I had even the slightest chance to ask, she turned around and ran off like a jack rabbit. By that point, I just wanted to get the Macaroni Grill dining experience over with and leave. Had I been alone and not with the wife, this is one customer that would have walked out soon after entering after encountering those rude morons at the reception desk.

Anyway, after awhile the waitress person rushed up to the table and slams down the plates. By her culinary serving style, one has to figure that the woman's last job must have been in a steel mill wrestling ingots of pig iron.
Okay . . . My order for Lasagna did in fact turn out to be Spaghetti & Meatballs. So much for young American workers doing todays high tech jobs. The food was Luke warm at best. The pasta was on the sticky dry side as if sitting around for awhile . . . Quite awhile!. Taste was bland at best! Meatballs were large and lousy, bordering on disgusting. Have to say, these fraudent clowns no doubt went the extra mile to screw up such a basic simple dish. Picked at the alledged meal and the wife later packed it up to go. Cost about Fifty Bucks! Of course the stuff got tossed into the trash once back home. Summing it up, a person would really have to strive to find such a pathetic poor place to eat in New Jersey. In a region that abounds in excellent eateries, there is absolutely no reason to visit these fast food fake Italian Macaroni Pit franchise dives. This place sucks!
