Olga W. needs to understand that anyone who works with pet/animal rescue sometimes needs to "fracture" a law occasionally to save a life. If Olga loves her animals as much as she claims to, why aren't they micro-chipped & more importantly, why were they running loose where they could be hurt or killed or worse yet, picked up by someone who tortures animals??? I don't know anyone affiliated with Ms Gapen or the Waynesburg Humane Society. That said, I have done several rescues myself & I have learned, the hard way, that a person can claim to be a pet owner or animal lover & that doesn't make it so. Olga, you should be happy & thankful that your two dogs were found, safe & kept that way until you could claim them. Don't be so negative about having to pay $100 to get them back. I have five dogs & God forbid that they ever end up away from me but if they did, $500 is the least of what I would pay to get them back. One surgery costs way more than that!

Jane Gapen is an extremely self-centered, psychotic and impulsive women. She has been caught trespassing numerous times and has been known to harass many people around Greene County and has even been taken to court for these actions.. Her and her colleagues lie about where they find these stray dogs, cats, etc.. I'm sure she doesn't write about that on her "hero" page on their website. My two dogs got away for an adventure last year, as we live on a farm. They were picked up and taken to the humane society. They both had all of their shots and tags to prove it as well as an ID tag as to whom they belong. When we went and asked them, they said that they had been picked up on separate sides of the county and had been "coincidentally" brought in by two different persons at the same time of day.. Even though I'm sure that they had stuck together the whole time. They always have. This was so that there could be two separate cases and it cost $100 to get our dog out of the pound. They would also only let us take one dog that day. This was obviously so they could make a quick buck. This was the first and only time that the dogs had gotten away so I am extremely upset with the dishonesty towards us when our dogs are as healthy as can be and up to date with all of their vaccinations, This woman and most of the people that work there don't care about the animals being placed into homes or even allowing the dogs to go home. It was clearly about making money from desperate people trying to get their animals back. All that sits in this facility are dishonest people who try to make themselves out as animal lovers and heroes.
