Provided by YP.comThis place is a great place. Even though the place looks rugged and could use a little renovation, the staff and the Owner of the place is beyond amazing. They had helped me when I had adopted my husky from a breeder, (being new to adoption), and they had helped me to update my lil puppy's shots and borded her for a very reasonable price. They have consistent care takers, and the dogs are walked daily (as I was there to visit my puppy). Thank you D&D for everything that you guys have done to help me with a new adoption.
I volunteered to walk rescue dogs that are boarded here from May 2010 through November 2010, so I've seen the backstage workings. The kennel changed hands a few months prior. The new owner is making improvements over time. The physical layout isn't very attractive (concrete floors, roughly 4x4 indoor kennel, 4x20 outdoor gravel with some roofing/shade & chain link) but the care is quite good. No A/C (but owner was seeking to add it.) The kennels & runs are cleaned daily, the food bowls scrubbed & washed after every meal. That's more than a lot of kennels can say. It's unfortunate there isn't a good setup for play areas (i.e., a larger fenced area) so dogs will get very bored, but they'll be safe & secure.
I dropped my 3 dogs off on 7-28-06 and picked them up on 7-5-06 and we weren't supposed to get them until 7-11-06. When I got them they were covered in feces and my largest dog had 5 lesions from cuts on his body near his face his legs and his backside. I left numbers for me and the vet and specific instructions to call if any problems arose. they did not call us. I had a $600 vet bill as a result of their stay at D & D Kennels and the owner has yet to reimburse us.
