The Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County provides wastewater and solid waste management solutions to convert waste into resources such as reclaimed water, energy, and recycled materials. The district constructs, operates and maintains facilities to collect, treat, recycle and dispose wastewater and industrial wastes. It is a partnership of more than 20 independent special districts that serves over 5 million individuals in Los Angeles County in California. The Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County covers an area of nearly 800 square miles and includes approximately 75 cities and unincorporated territories. The district operates several solid waste facilities and recycle centers.
