General Info: Hometown: Wichita, Kansas Why I chose pediatrics: Kids simply tend to get better and don't cause their own health problems. Unlike adults, they tell you how sick they are by their behavior. Being with kids simply energizes me! Most rewarding thing about being a doctor: Seeing a child through a difficult illness and getting a hug in return. Latest accomplishment: Being asked to serve the organization as chief medical officer. Vacation spot: Somewhere warm and sunny! Not too many people know: I worked at Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Swaziland, Africa, for two months. Hobbies and interests: Riding tandem bikes with my wife, reading, swimming, grilling out.
