I've been going to Charcoal Pit for more than thirty years. The food is great-- the burgers are better. It's hard not to have a good time when you're sitting at a booth with friends, a thick, grilled cheeseburger, a thick chocolate milkshake and sharing a pile of fries. I look forward to those days when I can get their New England Clam Chowder which is better than some shore-area joints. My favorote memory of the place is a bunch of us sharing a huge ice cream dessert called "The Kitchen Sink" circa 1980.
